Aikido is a Japanese martial art founded by Morihei Ueshiba in the early twentieth century. Unlike striking arts, Aikido does not meet force with force. Instead, it redirects an attacker's energy — using precise joint locks, throws, and body movement to neutralise aggression without seeking to harm. It is, at its core, a discipline of control: of the self first, then of the moment.
Practiced by men, women, and children across more than 140 countries, Aikido builds balance, coordination, and a calm under pressure that extends far beyond the mat. At UAE AikiKai Aikido, we teach the authentic tradition — the same lineage recognised by the Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo — in a structured, respectful environment built over more than three decades in Dubai.
